"The time to act is now.."
The White House and Congress are alarmingly close to accepting new extreme immigration policies as part of budget negotiations. These proposals would tear families apart and endanger people fleeing violence.
- Call and urge our Michigan Senators to protect asylum and say NO to these extreme proposals:
- “Safe Third Country” transit bans
- National expulsion & visa suspension authority (return of Title 42 restrictions)
- Elimination of immigration parole authority
- Mass detention of people seeking asylum
- Expansion of expedited removal in the interior
- Numerical caps on asylum and mandates on asylum refusal
Senator Debbie Stabenow (202) 224-4822
Senator Gary Peters (202) 224-6221
