Media Advisory: All Kent County Offices and Health Clinics Will Be Closed In Observance of Veterans Day
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (November 9, 2023) – All Kent County offices and Health Department clinics will be closed on Friday, November 10 in observance of Veterans Day.
The Kent County Correctional Facility will remain open with regular hours; however, all other services will be closed.
The Department of Public Works administrative offices will be closed. However, all disposal services will remain open on November 10, including the SafeChem program in Rockford.

Honoring Our Heroes: Supporting and Thanking Veterans for Their Service
Kent County Veterans Services encourages the community to take part in Operation Green Light through November 12 by changing their exterior lighting to the color green in support of our area veterans. The Operation Green Light campaign will culminate with the Veterans Day Parade, taking place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 11. We hope to see you at the parade or your house/business lit up!
