KCSO Arrests Four Juveniles & One Adult after Pursuits
CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich: At 2:40 AM a KCSO Deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no taillights along 28th St near Hotel Ave. A blue Dodge Caravan turned into a business but did not stop for the deputy. The van continued to flee at low speeds until two occupants jumped out of the van while still moving and got into a white sedan waiting nearby. The white Ford Fusion fled westbound on 28th St, but the deputy stopped pursuing it due to the suspect's driving.
Approximately half an hour later, an officer from the Wyoming Department of Public Safety spotted the white sedan in the area of 44th & Division. KCSO Deputies responded and attempted to stop the vehicle at Division north of 60th, but it fled. KCSO pursued the vehicle northbound on Eastern Ave until it failed to navigate a turn and crashed at 32nd St. Suspects ran from the car, but the driver was apprehended by a deputy after a foot pursuit. With the assistance of Grand Rapids Police Department Officers, a GRPD K9, and a KCSO drone, the remaining suspects were arrested nearby.
