Kent County to Host Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Open House for New North County Campus, Featuring a New Sheriff’s Office Sub-Station and Public Health Clinic
WHO: Kent County Board of Commissioners Chair Stan Stek, Kent County Administrator Al Vanderberg, Kent County Sheriff Michelle LaJoye-Young, Kent County Health Department Administrative Health Officer Adam London, and members of the Kent County Board of Commissioners
WHAT: Kent County will host a ribbon cutting for the opening of its new North County Campus, which includes a full-service sub-station for the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, a public health clinic for the Kent County Health Department, and additional space for other County services as needed.

WHERE: 4191 17 Mile Rd NE, Cedar Springs, MI 49319
WHY: Members of the media are invited to celebrate the opening of the new sub-station and public health clinic which encompasses more than 30,000 square feet on 14 acres of County-owned property in Cedar Springs. The new sub-station will replace an outdated facility in Kent City and serve an area of over 290 square miles.The connected public health clinic is also an upgrade from its former location in Rockford and will provide expanded public health services.
The Kent County Board of Commissioners approved the construction of the $13.1 million facility in January of 2020 to better serve the growing population in northern Kent County and make services more accessible.
