Dear Colleagues,
The spirit and leadership of Kent County employees is well recognized in the community. The services we provide make our community a better place to live, work, and play. Another way we can make Kent County stronger is by partnering with the Heart of West Michigan United Way.
Within the next month, you will have an opportunity to make a contribution to support critical safety-net services to help our friends, neighbors and thousands of community members in need.
Here’s why I hope you choose to support United Way services:
- Last year alone, United Way-funded services improved more than 67,000 lives in Kent County.
- The money we contribute stays in our community to fund 48 programs at 40 local agencies.
- Contributing makes a large impact to multiple agencies who provide a variety of cost-effective services.
Your contribution to the United Way Campaign will fill immediate needs like food, housing, education, job training, mental health services, and crisis intervention, which will increase the opportunities for all who live in Kent County.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards,
Alan G. Vanderberg
Kent County Administrator
