Reminder: April 11 SK hynix Information Session
The City of West Lafayette is sharing a reminder about the upcoming community information session hosted by SK hynix regarding the proposed development and associated rezoning petitions.
Event Details Date: Friday, April 11, 2025 Location: Convergence Center, 101 Foundry Dr, West Lafayette, IN 47906
Schedule:
-
6:20 – 6:30 p.m.: Doors open, light refreshments available
-
6:30 – 7:30 p.m.: Presentation and Q&A led by SK hynix representatives (please note this is a scheduled presentation, not an open house format)
This session will offer residents the opportunity to hear directly from SK hynix, ask questions, and learn more about the proposed project. Topics may include environmental and health considerations, safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and supporting infrastructure.
Parking: Public parking is available in the south lot of the Convergence Center (a map is included below). Gates will be open for this event, and parking will be free and easily accessible to all attendees.
This is the first in a series of public meetings planned by SK hynix and its partners. Additional sessions are being scheduled at a variety of times and locations—including the West Lafayette Wellness Center and City Hall—to ensure that community members have multiple opportunities to participate and engage.
As a reminder, the rezoning petition filed by the Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) was recommended for denial by the Area Plan Commission in March and will go before the West Lafayette City Council for a final vote on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall (222 N. Chauncey Ave.).
Residents are encouraged to attend the April 11 session and future meetings to stay informed, ask questions, and engage in the public process.
