On Tuesday February 6th, 2024, at approximately 12:30 AM, West Lafayette Police Department officers conducting a directed patrol developed probable cause to believe there were illegal drugs inside 320 Brown St. Apt. 207.
Officers applied for, and were granted, a search warrant for the premises. During the service of the search warrant and subsequent investigation officers were able to locate a variety of drugs such as methamphetamine, “spice,” marijuana, and other controlled substances, as well as drug paraphernalia, inside the 2-bedroom apartment, which was occupied by six adults and one juvenile.
The investigation resulted in the following arrests:
Kayla D. Gedcus, 33, of West Lafayette, IN faces preliminary charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Neglect of a Dependent, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Leondre E. Barron, 28, of West Lafayette, IN faces preliminary charges of Visiting a Common Nuisance.
Elizabeth L. Belli, 36, of West Lafayette, IN faces preliminary charges of Visiting a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Tara L. McIntosh, 45, of Lafayette, IN faces preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana. McIntosh also had three outstanding warrants for her arrest.
Cero W. Russell, 61, of Lafayette, IN faces preliminary charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Theft, and Visiting a Common Nuisance.
Jamarion K. Tyler, 21 of Lafayette, IN faces preliminary charges of Visiting a Common Nuisance.
A juvenile male was released into the safe custody of the Department of Child Services.
The fact that these defendants have been charged with crimes are merely accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
