Volunteer Spotlight:
Basketball Parents
More than 30 parent volunteers coached our winter youth basketball season! They taught skills, worked on life lessons like patience and including others, and came in on Saturdays for weeks to coach and referee all our games. Youth sports can only run because of all our volunteers.
If you're interested in volunteering, we need help with youth spring soccer!
Contact Rachel MacDougall, Sports & Wellness Coordinator, with any questions.

Thanks to everyone for taking our Riverside Skating Center and Wellness Center surveys. We're glad our community is greeted warmly and feels safe in our facilities. Communication Updates
Have you heard of Leadership Lafayette? I'm taking part in Class 52 with four other city colleagues and loving it! I couldn't recommend this program more. We are amid our capstone project: The 8th annual Volunteer Expo. Attendees of the Volunteer Expo will meet more than 60 local nonprofit organizations seeking volunteers. The Expo is perfect for anyone looking to build relationships and learn new skills. Please, join us if you can!
The Municipal Pool communication is changing for 2023. The West Lafayette Municipal Pool Facebook page will not reopen. You'll need to sign up for the Municipal Pool updates with govdelivery and follow the West Lafayette Parks Facebook page for updates, closing, and other communications. Summer pool passes will go on sale May 1 at City Hall.
A reminder, visit wlmoves.com for up-to-date information about all road contraction projects in our City! We know there is a lot of construction, and we appreciate your patience during this time and your commitment to making our community a better place for generations to come.
Finally, but certainly not last in importance, the website! We are in the process of building out a microsite for Parks. After reviewing some back-end analytics and listening to our community, we are making changes. Most of the adjustments will not be visible until this summer. The goal is to share a polished and easy-to-use site by July 1, 2023. Thank you for your patience.
Thank you for taking the time to read this month's newsletter. If you have a story idea or photos to share, please contact me via email.
