West Lafayette Police Department Lieutenant Completes Northwestern School of Police Staff & Command Course |

On October 2, 2022, West Lafayette Police Department Lieutenant Troy Greene graduated from the 524th Class of the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety’s School of Police Staff and Command. Lt. Troy Greene is the 18th WLPD commander to complete this rigorous 400-hour professional course of study offered by Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
The Northwestern School of Police Staff & Command is an intensive leadership and management education program that helps prepare experienced law enforcement professionals for success in senior command positions. Through an innovative combination of academic principles with practical applications, the School of Police Staff and Command curriculum zeroes in on such critical command-level content as planning and policies, media relations, organizational behavior, budgeting and resource allocation, human resources, contemporary policing, and more.
Lt. Greene has served with the West Lafayette Police Department for nearly 16 years and was previously an officer with the Avondale Police Department in Arizona. Lt. Greene currently serves as the Lieutenant of the WLPD Special Services Division and is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
