On Tuesday August 23, 2022 at approximately 10:03AM officers from the West Lafayette Police Department responded to a retention pond just north of the William H. Harrison bridge regarding a possible body in the water.
Officers arrived and located the body, which is that of a male, in the water.
This is still an active investigation. Any further information regarding the cause or manner of death, or the identification of the deceased, will be released by the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office.
There is no information to indicate that there is any danger to the public related to this incident.
