On 04/30/2022 at approximately 9:15AM officers from the Tippecanoe County Community Corrections Department requested the assistance of the West Lafayette Police Department while they were conducting a participant check on Justin Moll, age 37, of West Lafayette.
As part of the check, TCCC and WLPD officers conducted a search of the Moll residence and located the following items:
- Over 3.5 pounds of marijuana
- 172 grams of psychedelic mushrooms
- A large quantity of THC-infused edibles and THC oil
- Several doses of LSD
- $4335 in US currency
Three children, ranging in age from 8 to 15 years old, were also present in the home.
Moll was arrested on preliminary charges of
- Dealing and Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Dealing and Possession of Marijuana
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance
- Neglect of a Dependent
WLPD Officers tested several of the substances using the new MX908 portable mass spectrometer device. Trace amounts of fentanyl were found to be present in the samples.
The incident is being reviewed by the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor’s Office. The fact that a person has been arrested or charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
