City Hall and Wellness Center to Remain Closed Trash Collection To Occur
City Hall and the Wellness Center will remain closed Friday, February 4, 2022. Essential and emergency personnel will continue to be staffed as needed.
"The road conditions are bad, and due to the high winds, it's going to get worse. Temperatures will continue to drop all day, and drifting snow will be a problem." Mayor Dennis stated, "Please unless it's an emergency, stay home."
Thursday's Trash & Recycling will be picked up Friday, February 4, 2022. Collection routes will begin at 7:00 AM. The Streets and Sanitation Department ask that bins be placed in your driveway to allow snowplows to clear the streets throughout the evening hours. Yard waste collection canceled.
Ben Anderson, Streets Commissioner, shared, "Driveways will probably get plowed in, and sidewalks filled as we try to move the snow off the road before the hard freeze. It is not because we want to or choose to, but we need to open routes to deliver mail. We are all in this together, making the most of it all! We hope to have everything cleaned up by the morning!"
