The mission of the West Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance the quality of life in the city by providing the best possible recreational facilities and programs for its citizens through effective management of natural, human, and financial resources.
The West Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department has worked tirelessly to keep the Wellness Center operational in a time of labor shortage nationwide. We want to keep some of our buildings open longer. We want to increase the hours in the pool. We know there is a need to add more swim lessons. We know our community desperately needs us to offer more child care programs. We want to do all of these things so we can make our community stronger, but we need more smiling faces with a passion for our mission.
So, how can you help?
On Friday, September 3, we will be sharing all of this information via an email announcement and on our social media pages. We are asking all 6,000 of our email subscribers and our 10,000 plus social media followers to share our plea with your personal contacts. Please, help us find the employees we need so we can offer the best parks programs possible.
Thank you!

First Annual Fall Festival
Mark your calendars for Friday, October 29 for Fall Festival. Everyone is welcome, but you'll need to register all participants in CivicRec under the Special Interest tab.
Volunteers: We are looking for both residents and local businesses to help us line the trails of Cumberland Park with tables and booths for a night of trick-or-treating fun. We also need volunteers to help with set up and clean up.
Event: Fall Festival is open to middle school children and younger. All children need to have a guardian on-site. All costumes should be family-friendly and weapon-free. There will be trick-or-treating, games and bounce houses. CDC approved masks are required for all indoor activities.
Contact Ashley Conner with any questions.

New Website To Serve the Community Better
We know, our current website needs some TLC. This fall, we'll be launching an entire new site. We are not updating our current site due to several technical issues. If you have any questions, call the Wellness Center for assistance.
Clubhouse Reminder
If you book a reservation in Motionvibe and are unable to use your timeslot, please cancel or call the Hub. Reserving a time and not using it limits other families from using the Clubhouse due to limited space.
Thank you for your help with this concern.
