The OUCC is inviting written public comments in the Duke Energy rate case through July 5.
Duke Energy’s request would raise annual revenues for its Indiana electric utility by nearly $492 million. The utility's testimony and exhibits project that an average monthly residential bill for 1,000 kWh would be $170.67 when new rates are fully implemented in March 2025.
OUCC technical analysts and attorneys are reviewing Duke Energy's proposal with testimony due on July 11. A final Commission order is expected in January 2025.
A settlement agreement in the Boonville Natural Gas Corporation rate case would reduce the utility's requested increase from more than $1 Million to approximately $735,000. The OUCC recommended capping the increase at nearly $716,000.
The agreement is pending before the IURC which can accept, modify, or deny any settlement it considers.
In a separate case, the OUCC has reached an agreement in principle with Ohio Valley Gas on its pending rate request. The parties expect to file a formal settlement agreement and supporting testimony on July 10.
