We'll file testimony in the Citizens Water rate case on Oct. 13 & have started reviewing the new sewer case Citizens has filed. Other new rate cases include requests from sewer utilities in Hamilton & Tippecanoe Counties, & from the NIPSCO & Crawfordsville electric utilities.

ADDITIONAL SAVINGS FOR DUKE ENERGY CUSTOMERS
A new agreement regarding Duke Energy's Edwardsport power plant will save consumers an additional $85 million if approved. It will increase total ratepayer savings related to the project to nearly $1 billion.

Schools in Bloomington & Kokomo will be saving solar & wind energy for future use. It's part of a partnership among the OUCC, Duke Energy, and Southern Indiana's Battery Innovation Center.

Now's the time to have your furnace checked!

IS YOUR FURNACE READY?
With the winter heating season around the corner, now is the time to have your furnace checked. If it's fully tuned up, it will help you save energy & money.
A furnace tune-up is one of many steps consumers can take to get ready for winter, and the OUCC's website offers a host of low-cost and no-cost tips that will add up to savings. If you're concerned about spikes in your winter heating bills, budget billing can help.
Most Indiana electric & natural gas utilities offer it.
