In this month's IMC newsletter we focus on creating a workplace that is welcoming and inclusive to employees of different backgrounds. Workplaces that are more inclusive tend to have better collaboration, retention, decision making and more. Creating these inclusive spaces is a continual process that we can all contribute to together.

Welcome New Employees by Setting Them up for Success
Use our 30, 60, 90-day Training Goal Plan to set training objectives that enable employees to perform their responsibilities and achieve performance goals. Setting these clear expectations for new employees creates a supportive environment. Use this guide to launch and manage a new Training Goal Plan today; for employees in classified positions, managers should use the Working Test Appraisal.
Helpful Hints
- Be sure to keep conversations with your employees about their reasonable accommodations confidential.
- Set a good example for your employees by openly asking for help and taking accountability when you make mistakes.
- When interviewing job applicants, focus on if they're able to complete the essential functions of the job. Don't ask applicants if they have a disability.
