Celebrating Manufacturing Month in Indiana
Manufacturing today is not your grandfather's manufacturing, and thousands of companies in Indiana and across the country want to inspire the next generation of manufacturers by opening their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders for a look inside modern manufacturing.
Allegion in Indianapolis is among the many manufacturing facilities that celebrated the industry by participating in this year's Manufacturing Day, a day designed to raise awareness around the number of manufacturing opportunities available.
During Allegion's Manufacturing Day event, participants had the chance to hear from a panel of six employees who shared their unique experiences, including how they came to work in manufacturing and how they have grown personally and professionally through Allegion.
One of these panelists, Brandon Krieg, details his journey into the manufacturing sector and his new role as shipping supervisor at Allegion in our latest Talent Talk blog, The Manufacturing Truth: Vibrant Industry, Rewarding Careers.

College Goal Sunday: November 3
On Sunday, November 3, Hoosier students and families can get help filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on College Goal Sunday. Financial aid experts will be on-site at 37 locations across the state to help families file the FAFSA with confidence so that more students can secure money for college.
Students who attend College Goal Sunday and fill out the appropriate form when signing in will be eligible to win one of five $1,000 educational prizes administered by INvestEd. Be sure to ask about the educational prize when you arrive!
The FAFSA is required for determining state and federal aid including grants, scholarships and student loans, and many colleges require a completed FAFSA to award merit and need-based scholarships.
