The Indiana Recovery Network is partnering with Lyft to offer free rides to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. These services are available to anyone engaged with one of Indiana Recovery Network’s 20 regional hubs and can be used for a variety of purposes such as grocery stores, medical appointments, treatment centers and probation officer meetings. The rides are offered from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day. Contact a regional recovery hub to access a ride. More information can be found on their website.
Connie Jordan and Kayla Rogers have offered to provide Stop the Bleed training, which involves three quick actions to control serious bleeding, to the staff at Indiana Beach. In addition, the Community Outreach and Engagement team connected with Carley Garbison from Saving Grace Harm Reduction to provide naloxone training and two doses of naloxone for each first aid kit. Garbison will continue to provide support by restocking the naloxone supply as needed.
