 Newburgh Man Arrested for Driving Impaired while Transporting Child
Vanderburgh County – Saturday night, September 17, at approximately 11:43 p.m., Trooper Otolski was patrolling I-69 near Morgan Avenue when he observed the driver of a 2013 Ford F-150 traveling southbound at a high rate of speed. Trooper Otolski clocked the vehicle by radar at 90 mph. The vehicle exited I-69 onto SR 66 east and was stopped near Epworth Road. The driver was identified as Coleman Sheridan, 28, of Newburgh. The driver displayed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests. Coleman was transporting his girlfriend and her one-year-old daughter. Troopers also found several open beer cans containing alcohol inside the vehicle. Further investigation revealed Sheridan had a blood alcohol content of .09%. He was transported to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he is currently being held without bond.

- Reckless Driving, Class B Misdemeanor
