Dubois County Trooper Awarded Jasper District “Trooper of the Year” 

Jasper - The Indiana State Police held their annual awards ceremony yesterday to recognize troopers and state police civilian employees throughout the state for various accomplishments and awards. ISP employees were recognized for their service, bravery, and devotion to the department and the citizens of Indiana.  

Through his hard work and dedication to public service, Trooper Adam McBeth has been selected as the “2021 Trooper of the District” by the Command Staff from the Jasper Post. The factors used to determine the “Trooper of the Year” included, but were not limited to, traffic and criminal enforcement, community involvement, and special assignments such as SCUBA, ERT, Meth Lab Team, Instructor ratings, or other services performed for the department that goes beyond normal expectations.

Trooper McBeth was awarded a plaque that read, "Presented to the Trooper who has achieved outstanding enforcement efforts in the areas of traffic and criminal enforcement, case and crash investigations, public information programs, and community service, and who has exemplified the professionalism and integrity expected of an Indiana State Trooper."

McBeth graduated from the 75th ISP Recruit School in 2015, he grew up in Comanche County, Oklahoma, and Martin County, Indiana having moved to Indiana in 1997.  McBeth graduated from Loogootee Jr./Sr. High School in 2003.  He attended Vincennes University, earning an associates degree in Conservation Law Enforcement in 2005. McBeth enlisted into the United States Army as a Military Police Officer and paratrooper in 2007 and served 5 years.  Serving a year deployment to the Logar Province in Afghanistan from May 2009 through May 2010.

Upon his graduation from the Indiana State Police Academy, McBeth was assigned to the Jasper Post where he has served as a road trooper, having patrolled Crawford County.  He has also patrolled Martin, and Daviess Counties and is now primarily patrolling Dubois County. Throughout his career, McBeth has served as a member of the TIP Team and as a Field Training Officer.

Trooper McBeth made a strong impact in his patrol area where he normally works the night shift.  Trooper McBeth made 176 criminal arrests and 1206 traffic contacts. He also had 8 OWI’s” said Lieutenant Jason Allen, Commander of the Jasper District.

Trooper McBeth resides in DuBois County with his wife and children.
