Indiana State Police at Evansville Receives Four New Troopers
Evansville – Lieutenant Brian Bailey, Commander of the Evansville District, welcomes four new troopers to the Evansville District.
Last Thursday, December 13, 54 troopers graduated from the Indiana State Police Recruit Academy after completing 22 weeks of intense training that exceeded 1,018 hours. Some subject areas of training included criminal and traffic law, crash investigation, emergency vehicle operations, defensive tactics, firearms and a host of other subjects related to modern policing.
Troopers will now spend the next three months working side by side with a series of experienced Field Training Officers. Upon successful completion of field training, the new troopers will begin solo patrols in the Evansville District.
New Troopers at Evansville:
- Brayden K. Angermeier, 23, is a native of Newburgh and a 2014 graduate of Castle High School. He later attended Indiana State University where he received his degree in Criminal Justice. Angermeier currently resides in Newburgh and will primarily patrol Pike County.
- Trey Stewart, 25, is a native of Evansville and a 2012 graduate of Reitz High School. He later attended Ivy Tech where he received his degree in Criminal Justice. Zentravian is married and has three children. He currently resides in Evansville and will primarily patrol Posey County.
- Tanner Hurley, 22, is a native of Churubusco and a 2014 graduate of Churubusco High School. He later attended Vincennes University where he received his degree in Conservation Law Enforcement. Hurley also serves with the Indiana National Guard Army. He currently resides in Vincennes and will primarily patrol Gibson County.
- Michael Rodriguez, 27, is a native of Midlothian, IL, and a 2010 graduate of Oak Forest High School. He later attended University of Southern Indiana where he is currently working on his Criminal Justice degree. Rodriguez served in the U.S. Navy between August 2010 and August 2014. He currently resides in Evansville and will primarily patrol Gibson County.
