Two Veteran
Troopers Retire from the Sellersburg Post
Southern,
IN-Master Trooper Richard Jackson from Scott County and Master Trooper
Detective Mary Sanchez from Clark County have retired from the Indiana State
Police.
Master
Trooper Richard Jackson was appointed as a trooper in November of 1984 and was
assigned to work at the Terre Haute State Police Post, (now closed). After
several years at the Terre Haute Post, Master Trooper Jackson transferred to
the Seymour State Police Post, (now closed), he finished his career at the
Sellersburg State Police Post. “Rich” served 33 years of dedicated service to
the citizens of Indiana.
Master
Trooper Detective Mary Sanchez was appointed as a trooper in 1985 and was assigned
to the Evansville State Police Post. After beginning her career at Evansville,
she also worked out of the Indianapolis State Police Post, Lowell State Police
Post and the Sellersburg State Police Post where she finished her career. Mary
served 32 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Indiana.
Both "Rich" and
Mary served in various capacities and were assigned numerous special details
during their tenure with the Indiana State Police.
Lt. Chris
Keeton, commander of the Sellersburg State Police Post stated, “their expertise,
talent and dedication will be missed”
