morning after getting pinned between two cars after crashing.
Preliminary investigation by
Master Trooper Brian White revealed at approximately 6:40 a.m., this morning, a
2006 Ford van, driven by Eric Anthony, 47 of Whiting, was on the ramp from

Focus hit the rear of the Ford van.
Anthony, after crashing, had gotten out of his Ford van and went behind
his vehicle when Daniel hit the rear.
Anthony was pinned between the two vehicles.
A 2004 Jeep Sport Utility Vehicle
(SUV), driven by Esmeralda Ruiz, 20 of Griffith, also lost control on the ramp and
hit the Focus.
Anthony was taken to North Lake
Methodist Hospital in Gary with serious leg injuries and was later transferred
to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Daniel was taken to Munster Community
Hospital with complaint of pain. Ruiz
