Mishawaka- This Saturday, October 21st, several troopers
from the Indiana State Police Bremen Post will be raising money for Special
Olympics Indiana. Troopers will be at
the Red Robin located at 4010 N. Main Street in Mishawaka from 11:00 a.m. until
2:00 p.m. for the annual Tip-A-Cop event.
The fundraising event is part of the 12th annual nationwide
Tip-A-Cop® campaign, presented by the Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) to
benefit Special Olympics. More than 400
Red Robin restaurants will once again participate in North America, including
10 stores across Indiana.
As the largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle for
Special Olympics, the LETR involves more than 100,000 law enforcement members
worldwide. All funds raised through Tip-A-Cop® and other LETR campaigns go
directly to local programs in states or countries where the funds are generated.
“We are grateful to Red Robin for their years of supporting our efforts
to raise money for Special Olympics athletes throughout the state,” said Indiana
State Police Master Trooper Tommy Walker, Jr., director of the Indiana LETR. “And
to Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter for leading the Indiana
State Police’s participation in this outstanding event.”
