Trooper Adam Buell Promoted to Detective

Indianapolis, IN - Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas G. Carter has announced the promotion of 9 year state police veteran Adam Buell to the position of Detective.

Detective Buell is a 2002 graduate of Grand Blanc High School in Michigan. After high school Buell earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. In 2007 Buell left his home state of Michigan to pursue a career with the Indiana State Police where he graduated from the academy in December of 2007. Adam's first assignment was to the Indianapolis District where he has spent his entire career. Buell had the opportunity to mentor state police recruits as an academy counselor for the 75th and 76th Indiana State Police Recruit Academies. He has also been a member of the TIP Squad (Tactical Intervention Platoon) and has been a field training officer.  

In his new role as detective, Buell will conduct criminal investigations throughout the district, managing, investigating and processing crime scenes as well as interviewing witnesses, suspects and informants. He will also support local police agencies in any capacity necessary with criminal investigations.
