Gain Support and Professional Development with INAEYC
The Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children (INAEYC) has several upcoming opportunities for child care providers.
NAEYC Accreditation Update The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)'s new Early Learning Quality Assessment and Accreditation is now in effect. NAEYC Accreditation steps now include Recognition, Accreditation, and Accreditation+. The previous accreditation model was replaced with a three-tiered approach:
- Recognition: Entry-level designation affirming foundational quality practices through documentation review
- Accreditation: A full accreditation designation with documentation review and potential site visits
- Accreditation+: Advanced level accreditation with guaranteed site visits and additional quality assurance measures
Each tier supports continuous improvement, allowing programs to build upon their quality journey at their own pace. Indiana Paths to QUALITY™ (PTQ) Level 4 requires an assessment visit. Programs must be at the Accreditation+ level to achieve PTQ Level 4.
Reach out to your INAEYC Workforce Coordinator emailing accreditation@inaeyc.org, or a SPARK Coach at PTQ@indianaspark.com for support with accreditation.
