Understand Non-Paid Closure Payments
Starting with the payment on Thursday, April 24 (3/23-4/5 attendance), any non-paid closures marked by the provider on their attendance will be deducted from their payment at a rate of 1/5th of their weekly subsidy reimbursement amount per day.
Example A provider that is usually paid $100 per week as their subsidy reimbursement but marks one non-paid closure for that week will receive $80. If they mark two non-paid closures they will receive $60 for that week.
Remember that programs get 16 paid closures per calendar year. All 16 paid closures should be selected before using any non-paid closures. These weeks would only be prorated for closures over the 16 paid closures.
For Pay by Enrollment provider support, call the SPARK Help Desk at 1-800-299-1627 or visit indianaspark.com. You can also use this guide to learn how to update your program's closure information.

Get Ready for IN Kids Child Care System
The Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL) is excited to announce the upcoming launch of IN Kids on September 2, 2025.
IN Kids is the new child care system for OECOSL and is designed to improve the way we manage and support child care services across the state. You currently use I-LEAD to access things like training, program information, attendance, consent forms, and applications. IN Kids will help you do all the same things you do today in a more user-friendly system with new features to better support you and your child care program.
As we get closer to the launch date, there will be additional IN Kids updates and some actions you will need to take to prepare for the new system. We hope you will keep up with the information we will be sharing and plan to join one of our webinars later this summer to learn more.
