Make Plans for Holiday Closures
Does your child care program accept CCDF or On My Way Pre-K (OMWPK) vouchers?
PLEASE NOTE: Payments for Thursday, January 2, 2025 will be delayed until Friday, January 3, 2025 due to the New Year's holiday.
Also, please make adjustments ahead of time in the Pay by Enrollment portal. You have three options for managing holiday closures:
- If you are closed for a full week and expect payment for that week, you can use 5 of your 16 paid closure dates and still be paid for the whole week.
- If your program is closed for a full week or longer and you do not expect payment for that period, please email the eligibility office to request a pause on voucher payments. This will prevent unnecessary payments. Be sure to include the names of the children affected and the specific dates of the closure in your email. You do not need to record any attendance or closures during this paused period.
- If you are not expecting payment and use non-paid closure days, that week will still be paid (due to a current system issue). It will be your responsibility to report the overpayment to the State and have it recouped from your next payment. In the future, non-paid closures will be updated to not be paid.
Please review your vouchers before the holidays to avoid payment issues. Your eligibility office can make necessary adjustments to prevent improper payments. Audit will review all records to ensure accuracy. If you have questions, please email paymentquestions@fssa.in.gov.
For more provider support with Pay by Enrollment, call the SPARK Help Desk at 1-800-299-1627. Families can get support by calling Indiana 211 or their local eligibility office.

Review the 2025-2027 CCDF State Plan
Prior to the plan's approval, FSSA held a public hearing this past summer and accepted public comments on the plan. You can review an online summary of public comments.
The CCDF program promotes children's learning and development while also offering resources to parents with low incomes so that they can work or pursue education. States apply for CCDF funding by submitting the CCDF Plan to the Office of Child Care.
