Explore New Opportunities with the ISPROUT Assessment
A new tool is available for early care and education administrators and educators looking to identify their infants' and toddlers' strengths, uncover gaps, and support instruction. The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) will be providing the Indiana Student Performance Readiness and Observation of Understanding Tool (ISPROUT) early learning assessment to any interested early childhood program. This voluntary opportunity provides a snapshot of children's abilities in all early learning domains.
Programs can begin administering the ISPROUT for ages birth-2 in January 2025. Complete this form to opt in before administration begins.
Programs can begin administering the ISPROUT early learning assessment for ages 3-5 now. Complete this form to opt in.
ISPROUT also needs birth-to-age-5 educators to join committees for item acceptance, standard setting, and reporting. The committees will meet virtually one to two times in September. Stipends will be awarded for participation. Complete this form by September 3 to be considered.

Get Pay by Enrollment Assistance
Starting this week, providers will now have 16 paid closures per year. This is an increase from the original 11 paid closures per year.
Important reminders for providers with active vouchers:
-
You will still be paid for your first missed attendance submission. However, payment will not continue until all missing attendance has been submitted. Attendance periods must be submitted in order of occurrence.
-
To submit attendance, you must select the 'Submit' button in either the provider portal or your Child Care Management System (CCMS).
- Roster clean-up must be done every two weeks before submitting that attendance period. Do not submit attendance that you know is incorrect.
-
Payment details will always be posted on Wednesday afternoons during the pay week. Deposits will be made on Thursdays. The next payment will be made on Thursday, August 29. View the 2024 payment schedule.
-
For instructions on how to view your payment details, review the Provider Quick Guide. The only person who can see the payment details is the person who registered the banking information. A PDF copy can be saved or printed.
-
In addition to submitting absences in the provider portal, you must keep a backup attendance method for up to three years (CCMS, electronic tracking, or paper sign-in sheets with parent signature). This does not include food program menus.
