School-Age Child Care Grants Now Available
The Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning is offering grant funds to support school-age child care. Beginning today, exempt programs that serve school-age children can apply for grant funds through the School-Age Child Care Project Fund portal.
The goal of the School-Age Child Care Project is to expand the availability and affordability of high-quality school-age child care for Indiana families. Eligible programs must:
- Be Legally Licensed Exempt Providers
- Offer care before or after the school day or when school is not in session
- Provide care to children between the ages of 5-14 years
To apply, log in to I-LEAD and click "Launch the Grant Portal" to begin the application for a School-Age Child Care Grant for your program.

- April 26 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. — Using the CDC's Learn the Signs. Act Early. (This is a required pre-requisite for ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE training)

Support Sessions Available for Child Care Expansion Grant Applicants
If you could not attend the recent Child Care Expansion Grant informational webinar, you can view the recording here. The online Frequently Asked Questions section has also been updated to reflect questions asked during the webinar.
It is critically important to review all of the information on the grant webpage before applying for the grant. Submissions are final and applications cannot be reopened for editing. Applications will be accepted until May 12. For support, please review the Application Guide for a step-by-step walkthrough of the application by funding track.

Join SPARK Learning Lab and the Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children (INAEYC) in a virtual learning forum to discuss staff recruitment and retention. This is an opportunity for providers to connect with peers, share what is working for them, and gather new ideas.
