Join us this Saturday, October 22, from 10 a.m.-noon for the Chances and Services for Youth (CASY) Child Care Provider Fair in Terre Haute. Attendees are eligible for giveaways, including vouchers for CPR.
This is the first of five upcoming Child Care Provider Fairs offering resources to support regulatory needs like licensing and consent forms. These events are for current child care programs and those interested in starting a child care business. Mark your calendar for one of these upcoming events:

Join Virtual Summit on Transition to Kindergarten
Mark your calendar for the Transition to Kindergarten Virtual Summit on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 10-11:30 a.m. EST. The summit is open to administrators and teachers of elementary schools, community-based preschools, and Head Start programs to learn more about the critical success of early transition experiences.
The Transition to Kindergarten Virtual Summit is led by the Indiana Department of Education and the Family and Social Services Administration, Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning.

Join Our Quarterly Licensing Advisory Board Meeting
To help improve communication and relationships with providers, the Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning hosts three advisory boards. The purpose of these advisory boards is to give providers the chance to make connections with other programs and make formal recommendations to OECOSL about statewide policies and program decisions.
The advisory boards will meet on a quarterly basis and are open to the public. The meetings are held virtually using Microsoft Teams. Please join us for one of our upcoming advisory board meetings:

Get Support During National Depression & Mental Health Screening Month
October is National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month, a reminder to increase your understanding of the signs and symptoms of mental health issues. Take the time to assess and address your mental health needs, as well as the needs of those around you. Use the resources available through the Build, Learn, Grow Building Wellness program for childcare operators, staff, volunteers, and their family members.
Services are accessible until September 2023 and include:
- Short-term counseling
- Legal consulting
- Financial consulting
- Work-life assistance
- Crisis intervention services
