New Wellness Program for Early Care and Education Professionals
Recognizing that your well-being is critical to the quality of care you can provide others, OECOSL is launching the Build, Learn, Grow Building Wellness initiative to make these critical services available to you and your household family at no cost.
The Build, Learn, Grow Building Wellness program is a shared employee assistance program for Indiana's early care and education system that offers:
- Short-term counseling
- Legal and financial consultation
- Work-life assistance
- Crisis intervention services
These services are free of charge and available to you, your household family members, and your dependents through September 2023.

Use Stabilization Grant Funds to Support Summer Programming
Summer is unofficially here, and programs that received Build, Learn, Grow Stabilization Grants can use their funding to create improved summer experiences for children.
If you are looking to enhance or update your summer programming or activities, this is a great way to put your stabilization grant funds to use. This falls under the allowable expense category of “Goods and Services Necessary to Resume and Strengthen Operations” and includes materials for play and learning as well as equipment and materials necessary to run a child care business.

Build, Learn, Grow Summer Scholarship
Indiana's Build, Learn, Grow Summer Scholarship program helps families who work in essential businesses connect to the education support their kids need – providing opportunity for needed academic enrichment due to lost instructional time during the pandemic, helping youth thrive through the many protective factors that are integral in high-quality summer programming, and ensuring youth are ready to learn during the 2022-2023 academic year. Additionally, summer programs can offer the Build, Learn, Grow Summer Scholarship program to increase recruitment and retention of students.
The Indiana Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning — in partnership the Indiana Afterschool Network — is offering scholarships to families who work in essential businesses to access high-quality summer programs and camps. Scholarships will cover up to 80% of a school-age child’s summer program tuition.
