Build, Learn, Grow Summer Scholarship
The Indiana Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning — in partnership with the Indiana Afterschool Network — is offering a new Build, Learn, Grow Summer Scholarship program.
Many students lost valuable instructional education time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure that students are ready to learn during the 2022-2023 academic year, we have created a new Build, Learn, Grow Scholarship program for children of essential workers.
BLG Summer Scholarships will cover up to 80% of a school-age child's summer program tuition. We encourage summer programs to utilize the Build, Learn, Grow Summer Scholarship program to increase recruitment and retention of students.

Free One-day Computer Science Workshop for Pre-K Educators
As STEM education becomes an increasingly important part of our children's lives, it's important to offer computer science lessons, which combine all the STEM subjects. Indiana pre-K educators have an opportunity to learn more about implementing computer science into their curriculum through an innovative, one-day professional development workshop offered by education nonprofit, Nextech. This workshop is intended for pre-K teachers and other providers working with 4-year-olds who are interested in learning about computer science. Teachers will explore the importance of introducing computer science to pre-K students and discuss how to incorporate the subject without adding devices to the learning environment. Training will cover how to incorporate computer science easily and appropriately into lesson plans.
