Eligibility Changes for the Child Care Closure Assistance Grants Effective as of March 7, 2022
FSSA's Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning is offering an opportunity for family child care home providers, whose child care is located in their personal residence. FCCH Providers may apply for assistance if closed due to a confirmed COVID-19 case of the family child care owner, which requires closure of their personal home for recommended adult isolation period of 5 calendar days. Grant will not support closure for COVID-19 positive family members, staff or enrolled children. Family Child Care Homes operating outside of personal residence will not be eligible for these grants. Only operational business days of isolation will be reimbursed.
Licensed centers, licensed family child care homes outside of personal residence, unlicensed registered ministries, or legally licensed-exempt providers that are schools (public or private) or Head Start/Early Head Start grantees in the state of Indiana are NOT eligible.

Families Must Resume Paying Copays Starting May 2, 2022
Waived CCDF family copays have been extended to April 30. Copay amounts for applicable CCDF families can be found in the provider portal at www.hoosierchildcare.com and should be collected weekly beginning May 2, 2022. If you do not have access to this portal or have any questions, please contact your CCDF Policy Consultant for assistance.
We recognize that the shift from waived copays will be a significant change for programs and families, and we encourage programs to consider options to help families transition back to making copayments. Per their Build, Learn, Grow Stabilization Grant agreement, programs that received grant funding are encouraged to use funds to support families, as needed, in transitioning back to making copayments.
