Families Must Resume Paying Copays Starting May 2, 2022
We are extending the waived parent copays until the end of April to coincide with the closing of Round 2 of the stabilization grant. The timing of this was important as we know that the copay being covered is particularly helpful for families. The reason we are aligning this timeframe is because programs that received the stabilization grant have agreed to the following:
My program will provide financial relief or support for enrolled families or some subset of them through efforts including but not limited to establishing tuition assistance funds, creating sliding scale models, participating in the Build, Learn, Grow Scholarship fund, writing off tuition debt, etc.
Due to this agreement, OECOSL is not expecting that parents will see a significant cliff effect given that you should be working to implement some sort of program that supports your lowest income families.
Copay amounts for applicable CCDF families can be found in the provider portal at www.hoosierchildcare.com and should be collected weekly beginning May 2, 2022. If you do not have access to this portal or have any questions, please contact your CCDF Policy Consultant for assistance.
