Explore Indiana this summer

dnr

The month of May is at a close and with warmer weather arriving, how about a visit to one of Indiana’s many state parks and reservoirs? Even while school is out, keep minds active and learning about nature and science by getting outside. View videos from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources on the DNR YouTube channel to help decide which locations to visit for a day trip or a longer stay. Many of the state parks have interpretive visitor centers and activities geared toward kids. Use the Map App, “DNR Sites Finder,” to locate all DNR properties around the state. Additional DNR Apps are available here. Check out the DNR Calendar for announcements and special events throughout the summer. Go in-depth with information from DNR publications including maps, guides, newsletters, the 2017 Outdoor Recreation Guide and brochures with facts. The VisitIndiana.com official state tourism website has even more ideas to start your vacation.

Additionally, the Indiana State Library has teamed up with DNR to provide state park passes to all 236 public libraries and the state library. Learn more about the park pass program here.
