UPDATE: Temporary closure planned on State Road 46 near Spencer

OWEN COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews plan to close State Road 46 between Hillcrest Drive and Parks Drive on or after Thursday, June 13, to complete a culvert replacement in Owen County. The closure was previously scheduled to begin as soon as Wednesday, June 12.

The closure will take place approximately half a mile west of Spencer and is expected to take up to one day, weather permitting. Crews will be actively working from approximately 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. 

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
