Rolling slowdowns planned on I-69 for utility work

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces rolling slowdowns scheduled to take place in both directions of I-69.

Sargent Electric crews will be conducting utility work over the interstate, just south of Exit 259, the exit for Gas City, U.S. 35 and S.R. 22.

The rolling slowdowns are scheduled to take place between 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, and 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 2. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.

The rolling slowdowns should last no longer than 15 minutes at a time with 20 minutes between each slow down. The rolling slowdowns will begin in the northbound lanes at approximately mile marker 250 in Delaware County and in the southbound lanes at approximately mile marker 266 in Grant County.

INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
