Closure planned on State Road 45 in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Ragle, Inc. is scheduled to close Sate Road 45 over Indian Creek on or after Wednesday, May 22, to begin a bridge rehabilitation project in Monroe County. 

The closure will take place just east of South Darrell Drive and is expected to take up to ten weeks, weather permitting. Crews will begin to place signage in the area prior to the start of construction. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows S.R. 445 to I-69 to S.R. 45.

This project is part of a $3.2 million contract awarded to Ragle, Inc. in July 2023. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
