Week Night and Weekend Lane Restrictions on I-465 for Patching Work

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors LP. announces week night and weekend lane restrictions on I-465 for patching work.

The schedule and work below are weather permitting:

  • Wednesday, April 17, and Thursday, April 18, from 9 p.m. - 6 a.m. crews will restrict the two left lanes of I-465 northbound between I-70 and Fall Creek Rd.
  • Friday, April 19, at 9 p.m. through Monday, April 22, at 6 a.m. crews will restrict I-465 northbound to a single lane between I-70 and Fall Creek Rd. The Pendleton Pike to I-465 northbound on-ramp, 56th westbound to I-465 northbound on-ramp and 56th eastbound to I-465 northbound on-ramp will be closed during this time.

There is no official detour for this work. Motorists are recommended to check 511in.org to map their route.

These restrictions will allow crews to complete concrete pavement restoration, bridge deck patching and joint repairs. This is the first of six parts for the I-465 restoration work between I-65 on the south side of Marion County to U.S. 31 on the north side of Marion County. This work is expected to be complete Spring 2025.

INDOT reminds drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using caution and avoiding distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
