Bridge Demolition on S.R. 28 over the Mississinewa River

DELAWARE AND RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving announces bridge work on State Road 28 near Albany.

Beginning on or after Tuesday, April 9, crews will close S.R. 28 between S.R. 67 and Mississinewa Ave. This closure will allow crews to complete a bridge demolition over the Mississinewa River. This work is expected to be complete early October, weather permitting.

The official detour for this project is S.R. 28 to S.R. 3 to S.R. 26 to S.R. 167 back to S.R. 28.

INDOT reminds drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using caution and avoiding distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
