Lane closures planned on I-74 in Dearborn County

DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors is scheduled to reduce I-74 to one lane over Blue Creek on or after Tuesday, April 9, to complete a culvert replacement project in Dearborn County.

Work will take place approximately 2.8 miles east of State Road 101 between mile marker 156 and mile marker 161 and is expected to be complete by early August, weather permitting. Temporary barrier walls will be utilized along the eastbound and westbound I-74 slow lanes while work is in progress.

This project is part of a $2.1 million contract awarded to Milestone in November 2023. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
