2024-1 CCMG Call for Projects
The 2024-1 CCMG Call for Projects will begin at 8 a.m. Eastern Time, Tuesday, January 2, 2024, and will close at 5 p.m. Eastern Time, Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
INDOT Increases CCMG Cap in Pilot Program for 2024
During calendar year 2024, INDOT will be increasing the maximum awarded amount per calendar year for the CCMG Program from $1.0 million to $1.5 million dollars. To be eligible, you must have an approved asset management plan and have closed out any old awards that were made prior to 2022-1. INDOT will reassess this pilot program at the end of calendar year 2024. All other CCMG Program requirements and guidelines will remain the same. If you have any questions, you can contract your district local program directors for information.

Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) - local rural projects

The Indiana Department of Transportation began accepting applications for Rural Federal-aid projects on October 30, 2023, at 8:00 AM EST. The call closed on December 1, 2023, at 12:00 PM EST. Applications selected will be announced in the spring of 2024.

A Notice of Funding Opportunity for $1.5 billion in funding through the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) discretionary grant program has been announced for 2024.
Grants are awarded on a competitive basis for the planning or construction of surface transportation infrastructure projects that will improve safety, sustainability, quality of life, mobility, connectivity, economic competitiveness, and opportunity including tourism, state of good repair, partnership and collaboration, and innovation. A list of projects that were awarded funds in 2023 is available here.
Some things of note:

Half of funding is set aside to rural areas.
- Federal match may exceed 80% in rural areas, areas of persistent poverty, and historically disadvantaged communities.
- The deadline for applications is February 28, 2024.

Re: Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) Process for Certified LPA Projects
For a Certified LPA project, the PS&E Checklist will be completed as follows:
- The LPA’s Design Liaison/Engineer of Record should complete and sign Section 1, Design Quality
- The LPA’s Employee in Responsible Charge (ERC) should complete and sign Section 2, Project Manager Review.
For Certified LPA projects, it is imperative that the SPMS field “LPA Designed Certified” be marked “Yes”, and the ERC name be included on the Project Team tab.
This PS&E information will be added to the Frequently Asked Questions for the program which is posted on the INDOT Local Public Agency Program webpage, under LPA Certification Program.
