Temporary closure coming to S.R. 26 near Russiaville

CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary full closure on State Road 26 between State Road 29 and the Howard County line, in Clinton County.

The closure will last 24 hours a day, every day throughout the project.

Beginning on or after Friday, November 10, crews will be doing road reconstruction that includes widening and drainage improvements.

The official detour for this will be S.R. 29 to S.R. 28 to U.S. 31, lasting just over 30 miles.

The project is expected to last until sometime in February of 2024.

While crews are working, INDOT encourages all drivers to keep worker safety top-of-mind.

This includes slowing down, avoiding distracted driving and paying extra attention while in the area.
