Road closure planned for State Road 69

POSEY COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 69.

Beginning on or around Monday, June 26, crews will close State Road 69 in Posey County for an emergency railroad crossing repair. This closure will occur between Old Highway 62 and Lamont Road near Mt. Vernon. During the closure crews will replace the current crossing. Work is expected to take a week to complete, depending on the weather.

The official detour for this project is State Road 62 to U.S. 41 to State Road 66. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.
