It's been more than a week since the eastbound lanes of I-465 closed to allow crews to complete work across all travel lanes. Bridge deck overlays, new bridge approaches, pipe cuts in the pavement and ramp reconstruction are just some of the items crews accomplished in the first week.

While westbound I-465 remains open to traffic, we encourage all motorists to follow the posted speed limits in the construction zone and not be distracted by eastbound work zone activities.
Crews have installed a temporary four-way stop at Banta Road and Belmont Avenue that will stay in place while Banta Road is reconstructed under the new I-69.

The actual starting date and duration for work and any closures may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen activities occur.
About I-69 Finish Line I-69 Finish Line is the sixth and final section of the Interstate 69 connection between Evansville and Indianapolis. The project will upgrade the existing State Road 37 to interstate standards between Martinsville and Indianapolis.
Governor Eric Holcomb’s Next Level Connections program fully funded the project and accelerated construction by three years. I-69 Finish Line is on track to open to traffic in late 2024, improving safety and reducing travel time.
