S.R. 116 to close in Wells County

WELLS COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of State Road 116 for road reconstruction.

Construction includes curve correction, embankment stabilization and storm sewer work.

Crews are scheduled to begin on or after May 30 between State Road 301 and County Home Road. Work is expected to last until mid-September. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.

During construction, drivers are encouraged to use the posted detour of State Road 1 and State Road 218, or seek an alternate route.

INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
