Intermittent road closures planned for State Road 57

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces intermittent road closures for State Road 57 in Evansville.

Beginning on or around Monday, May 8, crews will begin spot paving operations along State Road 57 in Evansville near the Evansville Regional Airport. Spot paving will require intermittent road closures in areas where crews are performing paving operations. Spot paving will address nine miles of State Road 57, beginning near intersection of S.R. 57 and U.S. 41.

Spot paving operations will occur on weekdays only. This work will happen between 6:30 am and 4 pm. The project is expected to take a week to complete, depending on the weather. The official detour for this project is U.S. 41 to I-64 to I-69. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure. Airport traffic will have access via U.S. 41 and State Road 57.
