U.S. 231 to be resurfaced between I-65 and S.R. 2
LAKE AND PORTER COUNTIES, Ind. - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Rieth Riley Construction will begin a resurfacing project on U.S. 231 between I-65 and State Road 2 on or after Monday, May 1.
U.S. 231 will be reduced to one lane with flaggers directing traffic in the area where work is occurring. This project will be ongoing through late August.
Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns in the area. INDOT encourages drivers to allow extra time when driving through this area and follow traffic directions carefully. Motorists should slow down, exercise caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
