UPDATE: Traffic pattern moved to eastbound Red Skelton Bridge on U.S. 50 for bridge maintenance

KNOX COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions for US 50 over the Wabash River for bridge maintenance.

Traffic will be moved to the eastbound U.S. 50 bridge over the Wabash River to accommodate bridge maintenance operations. Previously traffic was reduced to one lane over the westbound bridge while work was completed on the Lincoln Memorial Bridge in Vincennes. With work complete on the Lincoln Memorial Bridge, the westbound bridge has closed as work moves forward. 

During construction a 15 foot width restriction is in place. Oversized loads are asked to utilize the Lincoln Memorial Bridge as a detour. Work is expected to last through October, depending on the weather.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
